Will you marry us?
Absolutely! If you meet the legal requirements for marriage in Australia, I would be honoured to perform your wedding ceremony. I'm passionate about celebrating love in all its forms and warmly welcome couples from every background, culture, sexuality, and gender identity.
How far in advance should we book our celebrant?
Popular wedding dates, especially during peak seasons, tend to book up quickly! It's always best to secure your celebrant as soon as you've set your wedding date. I'm often booked 6 to 12 months in advance, but if your wedding is sooner, please still reach out. I'll always do my best to accommodate your needs and make magic happen if I can.
Every package with Mazel Tov Moments includes a celebrant who makes the process smooth, easy, and genuinely joyful. I handle all the legal requirements with precision, guide you every step of the way, and craft a ceremony that truly celebrates your unique story, one your guests will genuinely enjoy and remember.
It's easy! After our complimentary chat (via Zoom, phone, or in person), I'll send you an invoice and contract. Your wedding date is officially secured and locked in once your booking fee is paid. Then, we can begin creating your ceremony magic!
Where do you perform ceremonies?
I am a Commonwealth Registered Civil Celebrant and can conduct ceremonies at any venue across Australia! While I'm based in Melbourne and generally work within the city and surrounding areas, I'm always happy to travel for love. Whether you dream of a luxe ballroom, a breezy beach, a rustic vineyard, or a mountain-top elopement, I'm here for it. If travel costs apply for your desired location, I'll let you know upfront, no surprise costs, ever.
To legally marry in Australia, you need to lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) form with your celebrant (That’s me!) at least one month before your wedding ceremony. You'll also need to provide valid identification (like your passport or birth certificate and driver licence) and, if applicable, proof of divorce or the death of a previous spouse. I'll personally guide you through all the paperwork, ensuring everything is legally airtight and stress-free.
Do you specialise in Jewish wedding ceremonies?
Yes, I specialize in crafting modern, inclusive Jewish wedding ceremonies in Melbourne. I offer a range of packages, from simple legal ceremonies to fully bespoke celebrations, and I'm experienced in incorporating both traditional and contemporary elements.

Of course! Interfaith and multicultural ceremonies are a true joy to create. My passion is to help all couples celebrate their love by respectfully blending traditions from both backgrounds. We'll work closely together to ensure that both your heritages are beautifully and meaningfully represented, creating a ceremony that feels inclusive, authentic, and truly 'yours'.

Your Jewish Inspired Ceremony
Do you specialise in Jewish wedding ceremonies?
Yes, I specialise in crafting modern, inclusive Jewish wedding ceremonies in Melbourne. I offer a range of packages, from simple legal ceremonies to fully bespoke celebrations, and I'm experienced in incorporating both traditional and contemporary elements.
Do we need a Rabbi to have a Jewish wedding?
No, absolutely not! Many couples want to celebrate their Jewish heritage and traditions in their wedding without necessarily having a religious ceremony or a Rabbi officiating. As your civil celebrant, I specialise in weaving in beautiful Jewish cultural and traditional elements into your civil wedding; like the breaking of the glass, a meaningful Ketubah signing, or a chuppah ceremony. This allows you to honour your roots and create a deeply personal ceremony that feels authentic to your "Jewish-ish" love story, without the need for a Rabbi.
Can you explain the meaning behind Jewish wedding traditions?
Yes, gladly! I love sharing the rich history and beautiful symbolism behind Jewish wedding traditions. During our planning, I'll explain the significance of elements like the chuppah (representing the home you'll build together), the breaking of the glass (symbolizing the fragility of life and commitment), or the blessings. We can choose which traditions resonate most with you and incorporate them in a way that feels meaningful and personal to your journey.
Can we include a Ketubah in our ceremony?
Absolutely! The Ketubah, a traditional Jewish marriage contract, is a beautiful and enduring symbol of a couple's commitment. We can certainly incorporate a meaningful Ketubah signing into your ceremony, whether it's part of the main celebration or a private moment just before. I can guide you on how this cherished tradition can become a highlight of your Mazel Tov Moment.
Authenticity is key! I dive deep into understanding what "Jewish" means to you as a couple - whether it's cultural heritage, family traditions, or specific symbols that resonate. My extensive knowledge of Jewish customs allows me to suggest and implement elements with genuine understanding and respect. We'll ensure every chosen tradition is integrated seamlessly and explained beautifully, making it a heartfelt reflection of your unique connection and identity.
Legal & Paperwork Made Easy
What are the legal requirements to get married in Australia?
To legally marry in Australia, you need to lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) form with your celebrant (That’s me!) at least one month before your wedding ceremony. You'll also need to provide valid identification (like your passport or birth certificate and driver licence) and, if applicable, proof of divorce or the death of a previous spouse. I'll personally guide you through all the paperwork, ensuring everything is legally airtight and stress-free.
Can we lodge the NOIM online?
Yes, for your convenience! You're welcome to lodge your NOIM with me in person, or you can send it to me digitally once it's completely filled in and signed by both of you, along with a qualified witness. I make it easy for you.
Can we get married in less than a month?
Legally, a marriage can only happen with less than one month's notice in very exceptional circumstances (like a medical emergency). Even then, approval is not guaranteed. If you believe this applies to your situation, please contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss the options.
Who can be our witnesses?
You'll need two witnesses aged 18 or over to sign your Marriage Certificate. They can be anyone you choose - friends, family, or even guests you've just met! As long as they are able to understand the ceremony they are witnessing, and the legal document they are signing. They'll also need to bring photo ID with them on the day.
Your Personalised Ceremony Style
Can we personalise our wedding ceremony script?
Yes, absolutely! I believe your ceremony should be a true reflection of your unique love story and journey. I work closely with every couple to personalise their ceremony scripts, incorporating your personal vows, chosen readings, and any special traditions or elements you wish to include. My more inclusive packages offer a fully bespoke script, ensuring every word resonates with you.
Do you help us write our vows?
100%! Crafting your personal vows is such a special part of the ceremony. I'll provide you with tips, inspiration, and gentle guidance to help you find the perfect words. Whether you want them to be heartfelt, humorous, or a beautiful blend of both, I'll support you in shaping vows that are uniquely 'you'.
Can we include cultural or family traditions?
Please do! I have extensive experience in creating beautiful and inclusive ceremonies that respectfully represent both cultural and religious backgrounds. Whether you wish to weave in Jewish traditions like the breaking of the glass or signing the Ketubah, or other family customs like a tea ceremony or handfasting, we'll work together to honour what matters most to you and ensure your ceremony truly reflects your heritage and values.
Do you offer rehearsals?
Yes! Rehearsals are a fantastic way to calm any nerves and ensure everyone involved feels comfortable and knows what to expect on the big day. They are included in some of my packages or can be added to others, depending on your needs.
Absolutely! If you envision a friend or family member taking on a significant role in your ceremony's storytelling, we can certainly make that happen. With a collaborative approach, I'll handle all the legal requirements and guide the flow, while your chosen person can shine in the spotlight, creating a truly unique and shared experience.
Absolutely! If you're planning a themed wedding with costumes, characters, or just a vibe that's totally unique to you, I'm all in! On the Wedding Day
Do you bring a microphone or PA system?
Yes! My Personalised and Bespoke Ceremony Packages include a high-quality PA system and a wireless microphone. This ensures every guest can hear every heartfelt word and special moment clearly, without any awkward shouting or missed expressions.
How early do you arrive on the day?
I'm always there well in advance of your ceremony start time. This allows me to thoroughly check out the space, set up any equipment I need, and touch base with your wedding team (venue coordinator, photographer, etc.). My aim is to be calm, cool, and completely ready to go, ensuring a seamless and stress-free start to your celebration. We'll discuss my exact arrival time during our planning.
What if you get sick or there’s an emergency?
I've never missed a wedding! However, planning for every eventuality is part of being professional. In the extremely unlikely event of an emergency or illness, I have a trusted network of experienced celebrant friends who I can call upon. They would be fully briefed on your ceremony details and ready to step in, ensuring your special day proceeds smoothly without a hitch.

My partner and I wanted to extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for the incredible job you did as our wedding celebrant. Your warmth, professionalism, and humour added a special touch to our ceremony that we and our guests will cherish forever.
We truly had a wonderful time. Thank you again for being a part of our special day and for making it so extraordinary.
Thank you so very much for your wonderful service and fabulous ceremony. We were all filled with overwhelming joy during and after the ceremony! And particularly thank you for your patience with my parents, who don’t speak English. It was very much appreciated!
Me and my partner were extremely happy with the service Devorah the celebrant provided on our wedding day at Johnny's Greenroom rooftop. She was highly professional, and gave us all the time we needed to set everything up with her PA system which worked perfectly for the ceremony and for our speeches. I would 100% recommend her service to my friends or anyone else who is getting married. Thank you so much you really made our day amazing!
