Congratulations on your engagement! You've found your person, and you're ready to start this amazing journey together. The legal stuff can feel a bit overwhelming, but don't worry, as your celebrant, I'm here to guide you every step of the way and make sure it's as simple as possible.
Over 150 couples have trusted me to guide them through this process, and I would be honoured to do the same for you. I specialise in creating bespoke Jewish and interfaith ceremonies that are as meaningful as they are authentic. Whether you're planning a traditional Jewish marriage in Melbourne or a modern ceremony that honours both of your backgrounds, I'll take care of the details so you can focus on the love.
Ready to start? Let's get a conversation started now!
Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM): This is the most important document we need. It must be lodged with me no less than one month and no more than 18 months before your wedding day. We'll fill this out together, and I'll need to see proof of identity for both of you. You can download the form below to get a head start.
Proof of Identity: To complete the NOIM, I'll need to see the original of one of the following:
Australian or Foreign Passport
or
Birth certificate and Driver Licence
*Please get in touch if you don't have any of these documents. There are circumstances in which other identification documents can be used.
Prior Marriages: If either of you has been married before, I will also need to see the divorce certificate or death certificate of your former spouse. Don't worry, this is all confidential..
The Ceremony: For your marriage to be legally binding, your ceremony must include a celebrant (me!), the two of you, and two witnesses who are over 18 years of age. I will also say the legal words required by the Marriage Act. We can make the rest of the ceremony as unique and personal as you want!
Click the button below to download the form.
To get started, please read the entire document carefully.
Then, print pages 3 and 4.
Fill in page 3.
Page 4 needs to be signed by you in front of a qualified witness.
If you're in Australia; that's a doctor, a lawyer, a justice of the peace, a police officer,
or a marriage celebrant - me! The witness will then date and sign the NOIM as well.
If you've had your form signed in front of a witness already, you can click the button to email it to me and get it lodged.

"Devorah was seriously a dream. As a multicultural couple, we were worried about how to honour both our traditions without it feeling forced. She totally got it and helped us weave in the Jewish elements in a way that felt so true to us. The ceremony was fun, heartfelt, and our families haven't stopped talking about how perfect it was!"

"Honestly, we couldn't have imagined a more perfect celebrant. From the moment we met, we felt completely at ease and totally seen.
